Year 9 Cookery – A Celebration of Flavour and Skill

The aroma of spices filled the corridors this week as Year 9 students took part in an exciting curry-making lesson. 🥘✨

Focusing on aspiration, students worked hard to master their cutting and chopping techniques, showing great determination to improve their kitchen skills. Their commitment to excellence was clear as they carefully combined fresh ingredients and bold spices to create beautifully aromatic dishes. 🌶️🧄

The session was also a lesson in respect – for food, for one another, and for the cultural traditions behind the recipes they explored. Finally, this cookery session gave students a real opportunity to develop confidence and independence in the kitchen, preparing them for future culinary challenges. 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

The smell of their creations reminded everyone that cooking is not just about food – it’s about learning, teamwork, and celebrating culture!
