Our Year 8 chefs put their skills to the test today in Food Technology, creating delicious Quiche Lorraine from scratch. Students carefully prepared the pastry and filled it with a classic mixture of eggs, cream, and bacon, demonstrating excellent attention to detail, teamwork, and culinary technique.
The smell of freshly baked pastry and sizzling bacon filled the corridors, making it impossible to resist! Staff were impressed with the students’ creativity, confidence, and enthusiasm in the kitchen.
This hands-on experience allowed students to develop practical cooking skills, learn about food hygiene, and gain an understanding of balancing flavours and textures – all essential skills for budding chefs.
Well done to all our Year 8 chefs – your hard work and passion for cooking truly shone today!
