Trip to Swan Lake

What an incredible experience at the Mayflower Theatre last week to see Swan Lake by Matthew Bourne, celebrating its 30th anniversary! 🦢✨ The performance was absolutely mesmerizing – a perfect blend of artistry, emotion, and breathtaking choreography. 💃🎶

Thirty students had an amazing opportunity to participate in a workshop on Monday, where they got a behind-the-scenes look at the repertory being performed by the professional dancers. 👯‍♀️🎓 Seeing their hard work and the repertory come to life on stage was truly inspiring! 🎭💫

Following the show we had a chance to have a ‘tech talk’ with some of the production crew and cast. 🎤🎬 We were able to watch how the show is ‘called’ by the show caller for the opening of the lake scene. It was eye-opening to the behind-the-scenes processes. 🔍🎧
