Embers Bushcraft is back in full flow this term with students learning all about sharp tools and the
correct use of them in a bushcraft setting. Students have been preparing their green wood by using
saws before whittling tent pegs, butter knives and spatulas. Set in the spectacular south downs,
selected students are given the freedom to learn traditional methods alongside leadership,
teamwork and communication skills.
Their final task is to whittle a hazel sausage spear, which they use to cook their lunch over the open
fire.
