Redbridge Community School is proud to celebrate the creative achievements of our Year 7 students 🌟 who recently took part in the English National Opera’s (ENO) Finish This… Project—a dynamic music workshop designed to inspire the next generation of composers and performers 🎻🎧.
As part of the initiative, students worked closely with our teachers and facilitators from the ENO to explore composition, storytelling, and musical expression 🎭. The workshop challenged pupils to complete a musical piece using their own ideas, instruments, and voices, fostering teamwork, imagination, and confidence 💡👥.
Over the course of the session, students were guided through the creative process—experimenting with sound, developing themes, and contributing original ideas to bring the unfinished music to life 🎶✨. The atmosphere was buzzing with energy ⚡ as young musicians collaborated to produce thoughtful and innovative compositions 🎷🥁.
“It was amazing to see the students so engaged. The workshop gave them a real sense of ownership and creative freedom—they were learning, experimenting, and having fun all at the same time!” 🗣️👏
The Finish This… project not only supports the national curriculum 📚 but also offers pupils a rare opportunity to experience the world of opera and composition in a hands-on, exciting way 🎬. For many students, this was their first exposure to professional music-making—and the results were impressive 🎼🤩.
Redbridge Community School would like to thank the ENO team for their inspiring work and dedication to arts education 🙌🎶. We look forward to more musical collaborations in the future! 🥳🎤
